What Home Means to Me

When I was reading Charmaine and Melodys story I was very sad to feel that people have to go through this. To me my home makes me feel wanted, loved, and welcome and I feel like it should be the same for everybody else in the world. My home means playing games with my family, or watching a movie. It's those unforgettable good times that make me feel welcome in my home. What makes my house a home is my sister, my mum, my dad, my candles, my artwork, our plants, my pets, my swing chair, my bed, the microwave recipes I make, playing Crazy 8s with my dad, doing puzzles with my mum, playing Super Smash Bros with my sister, taking long hot showers, and randomly making bags of microwave popcorn. The difference between a house and a home is that a house is an empty boring home that you don't feel welcomed or like you belong, and a home is a place that you changed to fit who you are a person, and it's a place you belong or feel welcomed, it's a place you have a good laugh and smile, it's a place you will never forget, sometimes home doesn't even have to be where you live sometimes it's just a place like a landscape or mindset. I feel like everybody needs to have a place to call home, without my home my life wouldn't be the same, it would be boring and empty. I want to help all the people who don't have a place to call home, get a place to call home because I think it's unfair how hard some people work and they still don't have a place where they feel like they belong, and it just breaks my heart seeing that.
