My Meaning of home

The meaning of home can mean many different things for other people, to me a home is like a bird’s nest. The baby birds grow up there, they make memories, get their confidence to fly, to go out on their own, they feel happy, safe and they feel loved. At my home, I feel the same way. In my home I do a lot of fun things with my family and we make great memories of all those times. Just like the birds. Growing up in my home is great, we play games, draw together, watch movies as a family and make up games like Sardines and Salmon. At home my family gave me the confidence to play basketball by helping me get better at it, practicing with me and encouraging me to try something new. My family makes me feel happy by saying jokes, by loving each other and by doing fun activities together. And I feel loved, not just by my family telling me but also because they show it. Like hugging me and hanging out with me. And I feel like I can be who I want to be without anyone telling me I can’t. And my family supports me. Those are just a couple of examples, but those are some that are meaningful to me. I hope that everyone who doesn’t have a house or a home will get one, when I see people without a home I feel sad for them, and I feel lucky that I have a home. I feel lucky that I have a warm place to fall asleep in, I get to do fun things and have a full stomach when I fall asleep. Not everyone can have that. And I know that I mostly wrote about my family, but with my family and feeling all those nice feelings, is my home.
