The Meaning of Home

Home can mean a lot of things for a lot of people. Homes come in different shapes and sizes, colors and gardens but what really matters is who lives inside. Home for me means laughter and running around playing hide and seek, celebrating birthdays or christmas or even a grad. How my parents knew that the house we are in was the best house is that they imagined getting a dog. walking to the pool in summer with my friends. But what I was most excited about was to make a garden full of flowers and then one with vegetables. But I cannot forget about my cherry tree. I spent three hours in it one day playing around in the branches. So I guess that's what home means to me. But recently a lot of homes were destroyed in the flood. They lost everything and my grandma had to go through it. She lost a home and I lost a place with a lot of memories.
