What Home Means to Me

My old home was in Collingwood, it was a big house in a subdivision. I loved being able to run around and be close to my friends and be close to my school and also being close to my family. In January everything changed for our family, we moved to Sprucedale to a new house far from everything. We bought a log home on a big piece of land with lots of trees. My mom says a house is not a home until you make it a home. I didn't understand that until we moved. This house is a nice house but we don't have any memories here, it doesn't feel like home yet but I know we will make new memories here and one day it will feel like home, a place where my family and friends will be, where I feel safe and comfortable.
