A Home, Not a House
Home to me means learning, caring, teaching, helping, discovering, exploring, finding, and laughing.
When I think of my home I think of how lucky I am to live in such a special place that makes me feel safe and welcomed.
My home feels warm like I’m standing on the sun.
I am so glad my family is healthy and happy.
It makes my heart feel warm and happy, almost like my heart is smiling with a grin so big, it could reach from one end of the world to another.
As I continue to try my best to spread my cheer and positive energy everywhere I go I try to make people smile.
My home to me means a safe neighbourhood.
What makes my home feel like I belong,
is a dark green wall that always appears at the back of every room.
The wall reminds me of a big pine tree
thats tall and strong,
that can stretch so high it could see Heaven,
with the guardian angel protecting me from violence.
A House has a roof, walls, and a floor.
A Home has memories and hope.
I live in a Home, not a House.
