Welcome Home

One may think that a home is simply a house, a brick building where we eat, sleep and return from work. In my view, a home is a precious place we cherish and shouldn’t take for granted. It’s not just any mere house, it's our home. To me, a home is a special place where we have freedom, inspiration, and shelter. When we have a home, we don’t have to think about where we will sleep tonight or how we will keep warm. It’s a place where I’m the most comfortable and happy. It’s also a place where you can design the rooms creatively. You can decorate it, design it and style it the way you like. My own home is ordinary from the outside but from the inside, it's very unique. As I enter my lovely home, I feel warm and cozy, sheltered from the harsh cold outside. My mom greets me with a tender smile and the aroma of delicious food wafts in the house. My sweet cat comes running at me at a terrific pace, licks me, and purrs. It's my lucky day when the mouthwatering scent of either homemade lasagna, samosas, or pizza comes from the kitchen. The music that I play drifts through the house making my family calm whenever they are worried. My house might look imperfect or ordinary to someone, but in my eyes, I think that imperfection is what makes a home beautiful. What matters most in a home is the care and love that goes in it as time passes. You can think clearly, have fun, play games, draw, study and memories will build up in this cheerful place. Everyone deserves a home, rich or not. I’m very grateful to have a home!
