Home Sweet Home!

Home can mean lots of things. To me it doesn't mean you wake up, eat , go to school, eat dinner then sleep. To me it really means I get to spend time with my family, interact with my turtle and play games with my friends and neighbours. But not everybody has these things. I know, sometimes you feel lonely and bored standing in these 4 walls around you, but at least you have somewhere to live, play and learn. Not everybody gets to stay inside from the big storm outside, play in the park and go to school. The most essential part of home to me is safety. Knowing that in the hardest, darkest and scariest conditions I am safe, comfortable and loved in my family’s warm cuddles is the best feeling ever. Finally, the heart of home is love. Love is the key to a perfect home. You don’t have to actually spell the word “love'' to experience this small word. The smallest actions my family does to make me feel loved are priceless. Whether it's sitting with my family beside the campfire or cooking a delicious meal for Diwali. It's just the smallest things your family does for you. I hope that someday, everyone will have the chance to live in an amazing home. To experience all the things that I believe what home really means. Tanya Gunda
