Meaning of Home

To me, a house is just the beginning of home, but home itself is so much more. It is the traditions and memories a family shares. It is the happiness of people together. It is good and fun every day. This is what home is to me. Home is where traditions start and memories are made such as going to our friends’ cottage for a weekend every summer and also going camping with them. When there are memories there are the good and the bad…but mostly the good. I have memories of camping, visiting our cousins and a lot of amazing adventures. Every year, we do those traditions, and the memories build new traditions. Traditions and memories keep families together at home. Home without happiness isn’t home at all. Happy moments bring people together. It’s all the happy memories of me and my sister playing together causing chaos of creativity…and then, stuffed animals everywhere! Even though me and my sister are opposites, we get along well. There is always happiness when there is a good home. Fun stuff happens when you are home. My cousins and I always do fun things together. When I create stories on my phone, they get excited and always want to find out what happens next. When we go to each other's houses, we get out a bunch of toys and always create these big treasure-hunt-challenges for each other. It’s always hilarious when we do that. Home always has to have fun. This is home. Everyone needs a chance, everyone needs a home. So Habitat for Humanity must help people get affordable houses.
