The Meaning of Home

Home is where the heart is. It’s a place you can feel comfortable, safe, and loved. It is where memories are made, and hugs and kisses are given. I believe home should be filled with love from the time you get on the school bus in the morning till when it drops you off at the end of the day. I know I am loved when I walk through the door and my dog and parents are there greeting me with great big hugs and kisses. Next, I believe home should be comfortable. A place you can relax after a long day at school or work. A place on weekends where you can have people over and get a great night's sleep. Whether it's lying on the couch or doing dishes after supper, you should feel comfortable in your home. Also, I believe home should feel safe structurally and emotionally. You should feel safe when you walk through the door and your home is standing strong and the structure does not have any mold or other species living in waits walls or floors. You should feel safe walking through the doors and being able to explain hard emotions and feelings. Feelings you would not feel comfortable sharing out in public or even to a friend. Finally, I feel everyone should have a home that is safe, comfortable, and loving. If you have a home, you should know what those words mean. I think everyone deserves a home like this.
