The Smells of My Home

Every house has a unique smell when you enter into it and this will remind me of my home wherever I go. My house has the fragrance of steamed rice and noodles and most of all it smells like me because it is where I live and it is my home. In the morning, I wake up smelling delicious pancakes with maple syrup when mom is preparing breakfast in the kitchen. This is how my home wakes me up. When I come home from school, I go upstairs to check on my hamster first. My hamster has this earthy aroma because he always digs into his home and I can sense his scent in the house. At dinner time, the fragrance in my kitchen is like a symphony with mom cooking up dishes using soya sauce, onions, garlic, and spices. The smell makes me feel hungry and the food looks yummy and delicious. When I take a bath, the scent of rosewater fills the bathroom. My mom and I both smell like roses. There are many scents that remind me of my home and this makes me feel cozy. I am sure you will have a special scent for your home too.
