The Feeling of Home
Your home doesn't need to be a building
It doesn't even need to be where your living
Home is where you see love Memories and joy
Not where you play with a toy
Home can be School or a sport
It's where you get the most support
Some people can't have a house
They might sometimes feel as small as a mouse
People who don't have a house might still be at home
Sometimes You might Have a house but still feel alone
Home is not a place it's a feeling
It's not just Four walls and a ceiling
Home feels like butterfly in your tummy
It Feels as if you have just eaten something that's very yummy
You are not at home if you feel scared or hurt
That's not okay and you should feel you've just had dessert
Habitat for humanity has given me a chance
To create a poem for you without a second glance
They have helped me describe a feeling not everyone gets
It feels as though you've been freed by your nets
I hope by writing this poem I have given you the feeling of home
I also hope that this poem has give you a little freedom from your dome
