A Chance at Home

A lot of kids and adults in the world do not have a home. They have to live in the cold and I would not like that. Some kids don't have homes like I was saying. That is not good because they can get sick or get hypothermia and that means that they might need to go to the hospital. So we should help them by giving them warmth and shelter. When I walk down the street and I see a person without a home I feel like I want to give them one and that is sort of what you’re doing. A home is a place for me and my family to be warm and to be thankful for a roof over my family’s head. A home is a place to express your feelings, a house is like when you walk past somebody's home or if you're going to your friend's home. There is a difference between a home and a house. A home is where there is love and a house is just shelter. I like my home because it is warm and when I want to be cold I can be cold and I like it when I am on the couch with my family in my home watching a movie. I learned how to walk, talk and run in my home I can play with my friends in my home. I can do what I want to do because my home will protect me. If my family did not have a home my family would be cold and wet. For the kids and adults in the world that would not ever have a chance at owning a home, Habitat for Humanity gives them a shot at that dream.
