Home and Homeless

Home and Homeless A home, it’s something most people have. But rather your home is big or small, short or tall, scrappy or fancy you have a very special thing, a home. But what is the definition of a home? People might say it’s where you stay, others might say it’s where you live but I differ. A home is where you live, but it’s also so much more. A home is a place that you live inside, a home is where you can be yourself without people judging, a home is where you would go after going somewhere else, but a home is a blessing given to you. Remember when I said most people have? That’s because 150,000 and 300,000 individuals are homeless, “But why?” You might be asking, “Why are there so many homeless people?” Well that’s because a home costs a lot of money and besides, even if you have enough money for a house, you would have to pay for everything. You have to pay for your electricity, your water supply, your food and even your internet. Then soon enough you won’t be able to afford anything. So I have something for you, I want you to look around your house and be grateful for everything you have. Think about others and donate some money to Habitat for Humanity. I hope you learned something about homes and to be thankful for a roof over your head while reading this, donate to Habitat for Humanity and goodbye.
