Home to Me
Home is where I learned to walk, and learned to play.
It’s where I learned that feelings are okay,
and it’s where I learned about Santa and his sleigh.
But home is more than that.
Home is like a blanket,
and under the covers you always feel safe.
I never feel alone when I think of home.
I feel welcome and protected, and I never feel neglected.
No matter how big, no matter how small, home is where you can call for help, even if you bawl.
When I go home, I can picture all the memories I've made in my head.
