The meaning of home essay

The meaning of home is different depending on the person. It is sad or happy, safe or unsafe and many other things. To me home is a shelter with a living thing and/or a book. Like I said before, home for me is shelter. I like reading, so if it is raining or snowing then it is hard to read without a shelter. But the shelter has to be safe and not lonely for it to feel like home. It has to also be happy. An example is my bedroom. Home for me is also being near a living thing and or a book. I do not like being lonely so I like living things. I do not have to talk to them but being near a living thing makes me feel less lonely. I am also not lonely if I am reading. What I mean by living things is plants, animals and people. In all my other paragraphs I said I like reading. I actually love reading. I feel most at home when reading. Books are a way to get away from the real world. When I am sad, books are often the thing that helps me calm down. I am also not lonely when reading no matter how far away from a living thing I am. I am happiest when reading. If I had to describe home in one word, reading is that word. In conclusion, home for me is a safe shelter near a living thing and a book. An example is my bedroom. As I said before, the word home has a different meaning for everybody. And that is what home means to me.
