Things that Matter

Home is a place where I feel welcome and where my family and friends are and where I feel comfortable, where I grow up and feel safe. Memories are there. In my home there are many things that matter to us. We have photographs of my mom and dad of when they were little. There’s a picture of my grammy who passed away as soon as I was born. There are some flowers that my grammy gave to my mom. They really matter to my mom. My family has a plate that has been passed down from my mom's side and I'm sure that you have something like that too. The plate has a barn on it and it is blue and white. It was from my Opa. He brought it from Holland. My mom always baked the best cookies. Me and my brother would help. I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful and loving hard working mom. My dad is the best dad you can get. He makes me feel terrific and extraordinary. He always cheers me on and helps me. Everyone should have a home and a loving family because it holds special memories that matter to you. It holds these things that matter and your home holds your love. It holds you because it holds these things like some special traditions and stuff that make you yourself.
