Meaning of Home

There are many ways I can describe my home, but if I had to put it in simple terms, I would say love. Everytime I come back from school, I can feel all the love in my home and get greeted with a “Welcome back Gwen!” I smile everytime knowing that I have a loving family to come home to. I'm grateful for my mom and dad, they watched me grow up. They watched me take my first steps, they watched me say my first words, they helped me go through so many things in my life. If I’m sad, a warm embrace from them is what I need to feel better. Both of them are working so hard to make me happy. No matter how often we move houses, we always find a way to make new memories. The memories I made with my family will forever stay in my heart and I’ll remember them once I get older. Home is where you’re free to do anything and express your feelings. It’s okay to get mad or even cry. Your family has gone through all of that as well when they were just your age! So no need to feel alone. Your home is where you feel safe and secure. No matter how big or small your house is, you still have a bright future ahead of you with your home, and your loving family is there to witness that with you. For the people who don’t have a place to stay, please know that we’ll all be thinking of you. I hope that one day, everyone can have a place to call home and experience the love and care in the world.
