When I Think of Home

When I think of home, I don’t just think of four walls I think of joy and happiness within the halls My house is like a warrior's shield If I am frustrated it can help me to be healed I remember times with family and friends Then realize those are things I must defend My home is a place where I like to be A place where I can live and be free Sometimes I think of people living on the street Then I feel bad but grateful for my home is complete My house number may change more than a lot But I'm certain that my family and home will not Family, friends, and a protected place to roam That is what I think of when I think of home
