Meaning of Home
Home can mean a lot of different things. To me, three things come to mind that make home special to me: fun, rest and family.
I love hanging out at home as there are many fun things to do inside and out. Inside my warm, cozy house I do lots of fun things each and every day. When I’m inside I enjoy working out and stick handling in my garage, playing foosball with my annoying little brother and drawing. My favourite place in my home is the yard. There are many different and exciting things to do. I can play inline hockey or basketball on my concrete pad. When I get all sweaty I jump in the pool to cool off. Then it’s time to practice my flips on the trampoline.
Home is my place to rest and relax. After school and a hard hockey practice I love to relax on the couch and rest my legs. Other ways I like to rest and refuel is by listening to music in my bedroom and eating a good meal. Every night before bed I always rest and watch my favorite TV show.
Home is not a home without your family. My family includes my mom, dad, younger brother, older brother, my dog and me. My older brother lives in his own home but I love it when he comes to visit. One of the best parts of my day is coming home and being greeted by my large dog, Timber.
I have moved a few different times and have lived in many different homes. I have lived in a house, a condo and my grandparents trailer. They all felt like home as long as I was with my family.
