What Home Means To Me
Home is not a place, it's a feeling. To me home is a place or an area that can make you feel safe, comfortable and lets you be you.
It is important to feel safe at home. When I mean safe I mean so you're not scared of dangerous things like dangerous animals, criminals, the elements like fires, lightning, floods and other dangerous elements. Some examples of safety are having walls, maybe a source of light, or a food source so you don’t get nausea or lose weight.. So it is very important to feel safe in a home. (Also, eat your food.)
To me, a home is somewhere you can be comfortable. At home I lie in bed and I call that comfortable, but some people might not have a bed or they might not call that comfortable. Some people might like bean bag chairs, sleeping bags, or even a pile of leaves. And it doesn't matter what thing you call comfortable, it just matters that you are comfortable there.
And finally, the most important thing in a home is to let you be you. At home sometimes I like to sing my own weird made-up songs. Other people like to dance, read, sleep, flips and jumps and other crazy stuff like that. In a home people are supposed to be able to show their emotions like if they're in an angry mood or sad mood and other emotions like that. No matter what other people say to you like “boys don’t cry” or “girls are weak” don’t listen to them, they are just being mean. So, in a home it’s ok to cry or sing and dance and it’s ok to be yourself.
Home is a feeling of happiness and fun. Home is the best feeling of all.
