What Home Means To Me
You don’t find a home, a home finds you. There are many things that make a
home great. There are some big ones that a lot of people know but then there's
those really small ones barely anyone pays attention to. Here's some of my most
important ones, family, coziness, and when it makes you feel good.
One thing that makes something home is family. With your family you can
talk to them about what you're thinking or feeling and you can listen to them if they
need it. Also, when you're with your family they're never far away, they're always
close and you can be with them when you want them. When you need help you can
always count on them to help you.
Another thing that makes a home is that it’s cozy. As an example imagine
your walking into a house and you feel that sort of connection as if it’s perfect for
you. You would know it as if it is a friend because you know where everything is and
you could walk around the house blindfolded without falling over or hitting
something. It would have everything you could ever need.
The last thing that would make a home is that it makes you feel good. When
you're at a home where you feel good, you can cry and laugh and feel all the other
emotions. When you're at home you don't think about crying and being judged or
made fun of or laughed at. In some places you may not have the liberty to cry and
not be made fun of because some places people think crying is for babies. But when
you're at home you don’t have to fake it till you make it or be someone you're not.
You can just do you and be yourself.
A home is really different from a house. For myself if you call something
home it should have family, coziness, and make you feel good whenever you need it
to.
