What Does Home Mean To Me?
A home can provide you shelter, warmth, safety, relaxation, memories, and love. Homes provide you with some of your basic needs and that's why it’s important to have any type of home.
Shelter is one of the most basic needs a human needs to survive. Without a home it can be very difficult to keep warm in the winter, but homes provide warm air because it can trap warm air inside and cold air can’t enter.
A home keeps you safe from predators, robbers, natural disasters, and many other threats. There are walls and a roof that can stop other people from getting in. If you have a home you can relax because you don’t need to worry about finding shelter for the night to keep you safe.
A home is a place where you can make new memories. There can be good ones and bad ones. I cherish those memories because I am with family and friends. Some examples of memories I have are parties, inviting my friends over to play, my first sleepover, and many others.
A home has many precious treasures that mean a lot to people. For example, they could have a family heirloom, or a special item from someone they loved who passed away or moved. If a home gets destroyed all the precious belongings would also be destroyed.
Homes are hard to find and are very expensive, so I am very lucky to have a home where I am loved by my family. I can also sleep in a comfy bed and have a roof over my head. I am very lucky to have a home. My wish is for everyone to have a nice warm home.
