What Home Means To Me
Meaning of home to me. I know what home means to ME but what about you?
Do you know what home means to you? If you don't then look at what I have to say. Home means: a roof for the top with bricks for the walls. Furniture inside with appliances for the kitchen with food and drinks inside the fridge. Rooms with beds and clothes. Messy or clean, and toys everywhere.
I live in the same building as my grandparents. Whenever my mom is going somewhere by herself or with my dad, my mom just drops me and my siblings up stairs because my nana and papa live up there. Me and my nana love to cook and bake with each other. We also sell food. I help her pack the food and my papa delivers the food to the people that order it! We also sell food to the people that celebrate something we do in my culture called Caribana and Kiddies Caribana. They come to my nana and papa’s house and get food and they also stay, relax and eat there. It's like our own tradition!
When I make macaroni pie it reminds me of my nana. It reminds me of her because she is the one who got me to eat it. Ever since that day I would not stop eating it. To this day I now help her make it. And without her I would not be able to eat it.
In the future when my baby sister grows up I would like to do the same thing that I did with our Nana and Papa. We would bake and cook together like me and my Nana. We will do the same tradition I would do with our nana and papa. And it will help us to get closer with each other.
