What Home Means to Me
My house is a place that I call home,
you don't need to be afraid of anything,
It doesn't matter if it’s big or small, it’s home,
My home has a big green door that invites family in,
I have lots of trees in the yard, where the fun is,
My house sparkles in the sun with its beige color ,
A big yard for playing with friends,
A big house for playing,
This house has me,
I have my mom, my dad and my sisters.
My home sounds as peaceful as the ocean,
And sometimes crazy as a monkey making noise,
My home sounds like a family watching a movie,
The sound of my dad raking in the fall,
The sound of scissors cutting paper,
The sound of my mom making supper,
The sound of my baby sister playing with her toys.
Home is the smell of open windows and crisp, line-dried sheets,
Warm pumpkin pie and chocolate chip cookies,
Christmas trees and pine boughs,
My home smells like the smell of of my mom making super in the kitchen
The smell of my mom’s diffuser,
The smell of fresh lavender in the spring,
The smell of fresh laundry.
My home tastes like homemade bread,
The yummy taste of cookies,
The yummy tastes of soup on cold nights,
The delicious, warm taste of gingerbread cookies,
Lemonade in the summer,
Hot chocolate in the winter.
A big cozy couch for everyone to relax on,
A cozy blanket in the winter for snuggling,
Home is a hug and a welcoming smile
Home is family,
Home means I’m never alone.
Home is like a fox’s den,
Home means everything to me,
Home is the best.
