What Home Is To Me
A lot of people think a home is just a building, but they’re wrong. A home isn’t just a regular building - it’s a place that holds warmth, memories, and a peaceful place to be. You might have to leave it and move to another one, but you’ll always have memories. If you don’t have a place to live in, you don’t have all the things you need like shelter, clean water, or strength. For me, I feel like I'm stronger at home than I am if I'm alone outside. You don’t have to be where you live to feel at home. I feel just as excited to go to school in the morning as I would feel to hear the bell ring at the end of the day. I feel just as safe at school as I would at my house. I have company, warmth, and shelter just like I would at home. Maybe school isn’t as comfortable as a home, but it has a lot of similarities. When I think of a home, I think of a roof over my head, company, and chances. A home isn’t just a house – it's a feeling. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small, it’s somewhere you can live. The most important thing in a home to me is not a thing, it’s the people. If I lived out on the streets and someone gave me a hundred toys, I'd still be wet, cold, and alone. It's the people that count in home.
