Home

A home can be wherever you feel comfortable but for me, home is family, home is memories and home is where you feel free. My family is home. My Mom is kind, loving and she makes me feel safe. I trust my Mom so much that is why she makes me feel safe. My brother Finnley makes me feel free and happy. Around my brother I feel like I can be myself. My Dad is loving, warm and fun. My Dad is all of those feelings when he wakes me up in the morning by shaking me. I feel safety, love and most of all, happiness in my home. Home is being with my family. Home is memories. Home is remembering the fun trips we’ve taken like going to Spain, Jay Peak, Kingdom Trails or Georgian Bay. Not every memory has to be big, memories can be small too. Memories are every night that we are together or just simply going for a walk. Home is all of my memories with my family. Home is freedom. Freedom is where I feel welcome and am able to express my feelings. Home is where you are able to be free. Freedom is where I can talk about things going on and not feel uncomfortable. Freedom is being able to be myself. I feel so free in my house and having that feeling is everything. If people aren’t able to be free and be themselves then that is just devastating. Home is everything and home is freedom. There are those who can’t feel those feelings because they don’t have a house and I want to help. Habitat for Humanity is helping people. I want everyone to feel all the happiness and love that I feel.
