My home. - A poem by Mary Dos Santos.
Home for me is more than a house.
It's more than just brick and wood.
Home is magic that's withstood.
Everybody deserves a home,
a place they could go to be understood.
A home is warm even if the house is cold.
It can mold you into something new.
Home is home no matter how old.
My home is safe and loving.
My home is fun and caring.
And when I’m hurt, home is where I’m going.
With my loved ones I chit chat,
talking about homes built by Habitat.
And at the end of the day no matter the number of fights,
we go to bed at night with love in our hearts,
ready for a new start.
