Home

A home is not just a building. A home is where you make memories, have connections and are with family. Home is memories. Home is about making memories together with the people you love. Home is when my family and I went to a Great Wolf Lodge. We felt like we were at home because all of us were together and having fun. Home is when my family and I have meals together because we are all talking about our day, what we are doing and what's going on in our life. Memories make me feel like home. Home is family. Home is when my mom and I watch movies together and do nails. Home is when my dad and I go sledding, cook and play games. Home is when my three sisters and I (Cheyenne, Danica & Ellie) and I wake up early on Christmas morning and stay up all night watching movies. Family makes me feel like home. Home is a connection. Home is where I am safe to be myself and no one would judge me. Home is when everyone is always welcome no matter who they are, family or friends. Home is when you have connections with family and the people you love. Connections make me feel like home. I love that Habitat for Humanity is helping families in need receive the gift of a better home. I hope that these families will now also get to experience all the feelings of home.
