Home is Where My Heart is

To me a home means a place where my family is, a place where there is food on your table and a place where you have a roof over your head. When I was 9 years old my family moved from Alberta to Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia. My home in Alberta was big and I went to a school with my best friends. I lived close to so many stores, restaurants and playgrounds and always had so much to do. When me and my family moved to Nova Scotia I had to go to a new school and make new friends which was very scary. We moved into my grandfather's old house and fixed it up which took a long time. I don't live close to any stores and there are maybe 3 restaurants in this town. I have made lots of new friends but miss my old ones so much! But I am happy that I have a safe place to live with my family that loves me. So to me a home is a place where you live close to friends and have things to do as well as a place where you can feel safe. So even though I have moved from my family home and miss it a lot I am happy to have my friends and family here with me.
