What is Home?
What does home mean to you? Does it just seem like a ordinary building? I can see beyond just an ordinary building when I think of home.
Home is not just a structure, it’s a feeling. I feel at home when I’m with my family. When I am home, I feel safe and cozy. I feel relaxed and warm, even on the coldest of days. When I walk into a house other than mine, I don’t get that comforting feeling I do with my real home. My home is a place where I am able to express all of my emotions and feelings, whether I'm frustrated, sad, happy or mad.
When I lay in my bed, I know that I'm shielded from the cold and all the dangers in the world. When I lay safely in my bed I think of all the wonders just outside my window. A home allows me to dream.
Home is not a place where you should hide and be afraid. Home is a place where you can go out and play in the yard. Home is a place where you don’t have to put on an act. Home is a place where you can be yourself.
The feeling I get when I'm with my family is a very cherished feeling. When I am home, I feel like I belong. Where I live, it feels like I am being embraced. At home, something warm fills up my heart so much that it feels like it is bursting. Home makes me feel like absolutely everything in the world is wonderful.
