The Meaning of Home

Home is not a place; it is a feeling. You can feel at home anywhere when you really have one house. You can feel at home at school or your friend’s house. You can even feel at home in a book. I have lived in eight houses, and when I moved, it always took more than a few days for it to feel like home. You do not have to just live there for it to feel like home. You also have to feel safe. I do not know what it would be like if I did not feel safe at my house, but maybe somebody does. I also don’t know what it would be like if I didn’t live in a house, but that’s what habitat for humanity is trying to help. I hope they keep doing that and I am happy to be helping by writing this.
