Surely Not Fit for a Mouse
Fairies gathered around,
and started to read aloud
Periwinkle over there!
Tinsel over here!
The fairies went to gather wood,
then POOF! There was a roof!
The rain started to drip,
the rain started to pour, so then the tiny fairies,
They started to build a door!
I step inside the house,
and to my surprise it’s a mouse!
The little mouse went squeak,
Then ran up my cheek! Into my hair he wiggled,
And I started to giggle!
But out I go into the rain,
just to see the house again!
Flowers are being watered,
The weeds are being slaughtered!
The garden is so lively! The fairies,
They think so wisely!
It’s like they’re meant to assist,
I think it’s a rather great gift!
And then a fairy flies over to me,
and says:
“Go look and see!”
I turn to see a beautiful house,
surely not fit for a mouse.
