The Most Wonderful Thing About Home

To me home means family, a place I can feel loved. Home is not just four walls and a roof, it's much more than that. It’s memories, love, happiness, laughter and a place everyone deserves. Home is very important to me because it creates memories, stories and so much more. To me home is a blessing, a sanctuary. No matter what if my house is big or small I will always be thankful to even have a house. I always get a nice calm and welcoming feeling when I walk into my house. Home is such a small word but means so much. My favorite smell is freshly cooked steak and mashed potatoes, but best of all is fresh baked oatmeal cookies. I feel that everyone deserves to have a nice warm home to feel safe. I always like to have movie and game nights with laughter and fun times. In my dining room there are a lot of pictures of memories of my family and me. My favorite memory is when I went to Maui with my family and my dad went fishing and caught a huge blue marlin. He broke a Lahaina, Mmaui record, and when my dad broke the record he got a life size replica of the blue marlin and flying fish. Now when I walk up the stairs I see the cool memory of the blue marlin in our house. Home is very important to me because my family and I have created a lot of memories at home. To me home brings a nice calm and peaceful feeling. To me that is the most wonderful thing about home.
