What Home Means to Me

Home may only be a small word; however, it means a lot in my heart. Therefore, every home in unique and different in every way, shape, and form. Knowing some people don't have a house that they can call home makes me feel sad for them because they can't have a place where nobody in the world can judge them, a place where there are loving people all around them, and a place where people can be loved by family. Nevertheless, a house doesn't just become your home, you must make it your home for it to truly be your home. However, the word home to me means somewhere you can be safe from others when you need a break. Also, it means a lot more to me in my heart than others because we all have a different place that we can call home. Nevertheless, this is what home means to me, not to someone else, but what it means to me. Not getting judged. My home is a place where I will not be judged by others, it is a place where I can be who I am. Unlike any other place like school or a friend's house I don't like being judged by the way I act. However, at home I feel different, like no one is going to make fun of me because the only people at my home are my family; if they don't judge me, I don't judge them. I feel like no one should get judged or deserves to get judged at home because a home is a safe place for everyone. There is only one place that you can call home and a home should always be a place that you can feel safe. Home may only be a small word; however, it means a lot in my heart.
