The Meaning of Home for Me

The meaning of home can mean several different things. It does not mean it is just somewhere where there is a bed, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room. A home is so much more. A home is somewhere your family is, and where you've shared your life long memories. Your memories are like riding a bike without training wheels with your family cheering you on. Your memories when you got your first pet and it was a big surprise. All your memories in your life that are important and big. It does not matter the size of your house because that's not the purpose of a home, the purpose of a home is to make you feel safe and loved. Being loved and safe makes a home truly a home. If you don't feel loved and safe in your home then I don't know if it's a home, maybe a house but a home not so much. A home never stays the same, it always changes but in good ways. It changes when your mom comes home from the hospital with your new baby brother or sister. A home changes when you move into a bigger home. When you move houses it does not mean that all your memories have to change, it just means that you're making room for new memories. I hope that people realize the true meaning of home and don't just think of it as a bed, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room.
