What Home Means to Me
What Home Means To Me
In this little thing about home, I will talk about what home means to me in four groups of things that I feel are essential to have a home. The groups will be living necessities, family, and feelings.
Living essentials. In my home, I have water, food, clean air, no loose nails or weak floor boards, warmth, a stove, and of course a nice backyard. I count all of these as living necessities because you need food and water to live, a stove so you are not eating raw food, no loose nails or floorboards because that is quite dangerous, clean air so that we do not develop breathing problems, and a backyard as a safe way to get fresh air without having to risk crossing streets in case we get hit by cars. Toys are important for times when you want to be alone, times that your friends are over, and for activities that you can do with your family. They are not toys but a pet is also a great living being to have around because they will always be there for you unless you are away. My favorite toy is my lego but I usually read because I just don’t have ideas fast enough.
Family. Family is very important for me because if you lose a friend or have a hard day they will always be there to comfort me or in my sisters case make me laugh with horrible things. I will not go into details. Even at school if you can get help from your family by asking your teacher to call your parents. Or talk to your siblings. But I'm getting off track. They can help you by getting you treats. Setting up birthdays, arranging playdates, taking you to parks, going camping, and helping you with difficult problems.
Feelings. Home is a place where you can go to be with whatever feelings you have. Like if you want to be alone you can be alone (except if you have little siblings). If you want to play you can play. I’m going on too much. Point is, you can feel whatever you want at home. You can play board games to cheer you up, or video games like you don’t care about time. You can do whatever it takes to cheer you up, get rid of boredom, or any type of feeling.
Bit of an ending. Home is a place where you can just be YOU. You can have peace, fun, or just lie around and read. Whatever you do, your home is yours and only yours and your family's. On that note, I’m off.
