The Meaning of Home

A home isn’t a house, a home is what makes you feel yourself. It’s important to know what home is to you. Home is different for everyone so don’t force yourself to do different things that don’t feel like home. For me home is with people, objects, memories and things that make me feel at home. This is how family, friends, and pets can feel like home. For me, home is with my family. For some people, pets could be home, I personally don’t feel that way. When you get older and have roommates that are your friends, they might make you feel like home. That’s how you can feel at home with living things. Home isn’t necessarily a structure or living thing. Home could also be with objects, foods, or drinks. Objects that are special to you can make you feel at peace. Food that you love can distract you from the stuff that makes home feel like home. Drinks that you made yourself can give you a sense of pride, but some are dangerous. That’s how objects, foods, and drinks feel like home. Photos, memories, and places can remind you of what home really is. Photos can remind you of happy moments, it’s good to be happy. Memories are like photos in your mind, they can remind you of what you like, and how you want home to feel like. Places that you’ve been to can remind you of a safe place, your childhood, or your happy place. That’s why it’s good to remember home, and happy memories. Everyone might not have a house, but everyone has a home. Maybe for you it's with people, maybe it’s food. It could be all sorts of things. What is home for you?
