My Meaning of Home
To me, home means a lot of things. It means family, togetherness, and most of all, memories.
In my family, I have a sister named Alexa. She is 8 years old. Home is when Alexa hugs me and says, ”I love you.” There is also my mom. I feel at home when she wakes me up in the morning and says “ Time to wake up sweetheart”. There is also my dad. I feel at home when he takes me and my sister ice fishing. I love all of them with my whole heart. They mean the world to me. Home is wherever my family is.
Home is when my family goes downstairs and we watch a movie together. I feel at home when my sister and I share a blanket on the couch. My family makes me feel at home when it is game night and my family stays up late playing board games. Home is when we are together.
Home is every time we go camping, every trip to Disney World, and every laugh or giggle. Home is hidden in every hug. Every memory with my family is a gift. I find home in everything my family and I do together.
Habitat for humanity is working towards giving everyone a happy home like mine. I think it is an amazing goal and that everyone should have a comfortable, safe place to live.
