Home to Me

As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said “A house is made of walls and beams, a home is made of love and dreams.” In my opinion, everybody should have a home, not just a house. Home is one of my happy places and I think everyone should feel that way. There are many different things that make a house feel like a home, but I feel the most important are safety, comfort and space. Safety makes a house feel like home. Having my personal belongings makes home feel safe. Another thing that makes my home feel safe is having family and people that I love around. I think a home should be familiar to feel safe. Those are some things that make my home feel safe. I need to feel comfortable for my house to be a home. For my home to be comfortable, I have my stuff. For my home to be comfortable, I have my own design. My home has memories, which make it feel comfortable. These things make my home feel comfortable. Having enough space is helpful for making a house feel like home. Having enough space for me is not feeling squished. To have enough space, I need to be able to spread out. Having enough space for me is being able to leave. This might not be the most important, but having enough space helps my house feel like home. Those are the qualities that make my home my happy place. The qualities that I think are important are safety, so that I can just enjoy myself, comfort, so that I feel good in my home and space, so that I don’t feel squished. I wish everybody could be as lucky as me to have a great home.
