What Home Means to Me

Home isn’t just the place you go to when you come home from school. To me, home is my family, friends, comfort, fun, safety, and relaxation. A place where I can be respected and cared for, and it’s a place where I can have fun and enjoy myself with my family. At home I can learn lots of new things in a safe environment. Home means a lot of things to me. To you, it might be something else. Home means a great many things to me. Home is my family because wherever I go with my family, I feel at home. I feel safe, and I am surrounded by people that comfort me. It’s where I feel at home because I’ve lived with my family for..well..my entire life, and I feel like everywhere I've traveled to--and I’ve traveled to a lot of places--I felt like I was still at home because my family was there. It’s a safe place. A place of comfort. A place where you feel as if you’re free to share your ideas with the people that you're comfortable with being in. A place with people that make you comfortable, or things. To me, home is a place where you can have fun without being judged for what you're doing. It’s a place where you can bond with people and have fun with them, or just do a little activity that you both enjoy. It could be a place where you just did an activity alone/with other people. It doesn’t matter as long as you're enjoying it, and you feel at home. Above all, my home is a place full of love. Home is filled with things or people that you feel a connection to, like you feel safe around them, or laughter, or just good vibes. Even if it isn’t love. It could be romantic, platonic, or anything of the sort. It doesn’t matter what the feeling is or where you are as long as you feel loved inside your home. Everyone has a different perspective of what home means to them. But regardless of the perspective, opinions and views that other people give on what home means to them, your home is one of the most important parts in your life, and your home is your home. Regardless of where you are or what you do in it.
