Home is a place that provides shelter, Protecting me from all danger When the clouds decide to rain or snow, My home is there to bring me some place safer Home is a place where I see a family, A family of my own With the love from my mother, sister, and dad, I’ve found the place where I have the best family I know Home is a place with freshly-cooked meals, Piping hot from the stove and oven Prepared by my mother and full of love, I indulge in her meals and her famous chocolate muffins Home is a place that is entertaining, Where there’s always something to do Playing with legos or knitting a scarf, And many more activities to pursue Home is a place where I can go outside, Play badminton or ride my bike until dawn Whenever I step outside to get some fresh air, I see my dad mowing the lawn Home is a place where you can be yourself, Whether it be late-night karaoke with your sister Sometimes you might dance silly just for fun, But that’s what makes home a place where you’re not a prisoner Home is a place where you can share your feelings, With your parents when you have a hard time You might feel stressed or nervous to try, But don’t worry, because you didn’t commit a crime There may be more fun places to explore, Like a toy store or a mall But don’t you see where the best place is?
