Home

What does home mean to you? I should take the time to appreciate that I'm SO lucky that I have a sturdy roofed house to sleep in every night, food to feed me and keep me healthy. Not many kids have a home to live in, they might call their home a sidewalk or even a garbage disposal. Some kids live on the streets, they feed on scraps that have been tossed out. There are A LOT of kids that have worse lives than me. I'm very thankful for a great community, there’s not that much homelessness in our community. When I walk into my house I feel a warm drift of flowing air throughout my hair. My mom welcomes me with a warm roaring fire(that’s in controll.) Sometimes when I'm getting tired and drowzy I stare into the fire. Once I saw a roaring lion. When we have a fire there’s a fresh smell of cedar burning in the fireplace. I feel safe and cared for when I'm with my family, I have one sister in grade 7, AMAZING parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles. I also have an adorable 8-month-old white lab puppy. I lost my great grandma when I was 6 years old. She was an amazing great grandma to have, I never met my great grandpa. I'm so happy that submission of the contest is donating 10 dollars to my nearest charity. I'm so very thankful for a great community and an amazing property and house. That's how I describe “home”.
