The Meaning of Home
This summer, I moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba to my new place in Edmonton, Alberta. I play in the playground at school with my new best friends in Edmonton. We went on the slides together. Winnipeg still feels like home to me but, now that I’m making new friends, Edmonton feels more like home. I live in an apartment called Killiam with my family and my friends. I want to sleep in my own bedroom because it feels comfy and warmer.
It was my birthday last time in school. My friends sang happy birthday to me. We were playing outside at the field. My friends and I were throwing snowballs at each other in the field and some of the snow got into my face. One of my friends drew my name and happy birthday in the snow outside in the field. We went snow-sledding together on a big hill. I went down the big hill and I yelled, “WHOO! HOO!” when I was sledding down the hill with my friend.
