Home is the Nicest Word There Is

“Home is the nicest word there is.” This is one of my favourite quotes by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I agree, the word home makes me think of comfort and joy. Everybody needs a home. I’m not only going to tell you why everyone needs a house, but more importantly, why everyone needs a home. Everybody needs a house because it is a basic need. A house provides shelter and that keeps you warm, safe and dry. A house keeps the weather off you. It gives you a sense of security and that helps you feel protected. It gives you a sense of stability with four walls and a roof around you, and also a place to sleep. This explains why everyone needs a house. Everyone needs a house to feel at home. A house is just a structure around you, a home is where you fit in and can be yourself. In a house you feel safe, in a home you feel comfort and happiness. It’s not just you in that house. It’s the feeling created by the people you love and that’s what makes it a home. If you have a happy house with your family that’s what makes it a home. It is important to have a house to feel at home. This explains why everyone needs a house to have a home. Here is another quote from the Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, “There is no place like home.” I agree, I can’t imagine not having a place to call home. There is no place in the world where I feel that safety. A home is also a place to make many happy memories. Everybody deserves to have a place to call home.
