Feeling Better Under My Shelter
I feel good in my humble abode
Where I retreat back to my home
My home is where I release my load
I may not have any gnomes,
But I still feel protected, it has my back
I am lucky and blessed, living in my luxurious shack.
I always feel at peace at my condominium
As shiny as aluminum
Every day I wake up
I make my tea and sip
Home is a place where I shut down.
Every Sunday my family comes down to pray
I feel at peace and in a truce with the birds chirping
I can smell the gracious, delightful and a charming smell
I wonder what it is that makes it so swell
Every Saturday I come down and play
Thank God for making my life this way.
This is a roof for humanity
With floors all nice and pretty
A place where I am told to never give up
And my talents practiced
Everyday I feel better under my shelter, my residents,
My dwelling, our home.
