Home

Hello, my name is Romulo, and I am 10 years old in grade 5. You may not know who I am, but I am here to talk about what home is. Home, home is a very valuable word. Home can be created whenever and wherever you want it to be. It could also mean a variety of things. Home can be filled with many things such as love, happiness, kindness and many more things. Home can be a special place. Your example of home might be your house! It might be that because you are familiar with it or because it’s the place where you feel safe and happy. Another example might be when there is a place you like, like the top of a specific hill overviewing everything else, it’s quiet up there and it’s a good place to relax. Those of course are just some examples and there are many more, but I think these are the most important. Home is not a house. There is a massive difference between a house and home, and I am here to list them all. First, a home has “personalities” or at least it can be described in many ways. For example, home can be happy and kind or fun and safe. Second, a house can just be described on what it looks like. For example, your house might be fancy and gigantic or clean and organized. Third, a house is just a structure, or a building made from humans. Home comes from deep within, like your heart. Knowing the difference between home and house is important. That is why I listed the most important differences in my opinion. Home can be the people around you. Even though home can be a place, it can also be your community or a group of people. For example, your family might be your home because they love you and care about you. Another example of your home might be your friends because they support you and is always there for you. Your home doesn’t always about the people that love you, it can also be the people that you trust and care about, they might be your teachers or classmates! There are many more people that can be everyone’s home, but these are my favourite. Even though there are many more ways to describe what home is, these are just some. They may not be the best examples to help people understand what home really is, but these are the ones that stood out to me and sounded important, these are the ones that I loved most. Of course, many people would disagree to me, but everyone is entitled into their own opinion. That is what makes everyone unique. So, what is YOUR favourite meaning of home?
