What is Home?
Hi, my name is Marley. I am 11 years old turning 12 in July. I live in
Brantford Ontario. Today I will be discussing what home is for me.
Home for me is a safe and healthy environment where I am not afraid
to be me. I feel safe protected and loved. Home is not about the things
or toys in my house. It is about the family, friends, coworkers,
friendships, and love that is in my home. I would like to introduce my
home to you by starting to tell you about the things that make my
home. Let's start with my sister. My sister is kind to me, and she shares
with me. We often play or hang out with each other. She's a part of my
home because she shares with me, is always kind to me just like the
things I just shared and there's also many more things that I could list
for hours about why she is a part of my home. I am very grateful
appreciative of and thankful for her being my sister.
Next is my mom. My mom cares for me, takes me places and is always
ready to drop anything to play with us or help us. I appreciate my mom.
There are also many reasons otherwise that I could go on for about why
my mom is a part of my Hilton. She always helps me with my
homework if I get stuck on any questions and she brings me things
when I don't expect it and I always appreciate it. Fun things. She also
makes us a family supper every night and I love that.
Next is my dad. My dad teaches me, shares with me and I enjoy
learning from him and spending time with him. I also help my dad a lot
and I also learned lots of valuable life skills from my dad. I appreciate it
more than he could ever know and I'm very grateful and appreciate
that he is my dad
