What does home mean to me?

What does home mean to me? It’s a place I can lay, where I can cry and feel safe, Where I can talk to my family, A place I sleep, eat and repeat. It’s also where I have lived for five years. My home is the only place I can go when I’m scared, A place where I can draw and play games. It’s a place for my other little friends. It’s a place where my family is. It’s my space. When I think of home, I see our yellow house That’s been here for a hundred and twenty-seven years. When I think of home, I smell my Dad’s pizza, The pepperoni, the melted cheese, and fluffy crust. When I think of home, I taste my sister’s brownies. They make me feel proud to have a sister who knows how to bake. When I think of home, I feel my cat’s fluffy fur That feels like touching the most luxurious blanket in the world. When I think of home, I hear our door close And that’s how I know I’m in my space. I would like others to feel what I feel. Home is incredible the warmth, the comfort and a roof for your head. I don’t want people to stay out in the cold Especially the ones with kids. I can't say I have felt homeless but I can say I don’t want anyone to be out there anymore.
