Meaning of home

Meaning of home A home to me is the rink. It's the only place where I feel like myself, and I can express how I feel and know that I am good at something. Home has a different meaning to everyone. Home could be a place, a person, or even a feeling. Home is also something that we take for granted. Some people would give their lives for a place to feel safe and happy. We need to take the time sometimes to think about the fact that some children can't even live a normal childhood. They have to work to stay alive. It puts tears in my eyes just to think that some kids have never put on a pair of shoes or held a pencil. We get to go to the mall and the store and buy clothes, toys, and shoes when some people have been wearing the same clothes for weeks, months, or even years. A house is a building that can be any size with four walls, a roof, windows, a door, and furniture. But a home is a place where you can feel loved and happy and safe. Some people don’t even have a house, let alone a home. The thought of not being able to lay your head down on a pillow and know that you are safe is terrible. We worry about not being able to go out with our friends or go to the park, when some people have to worry about freezing, starving, or even dying. A house is something that everyone deserves, but a home is something that everyone needs.
