Meaning of Home

Home has a different meaning for different people. You may agree or disagree with me. A house is a place and a home is a feeling, but it’s hard to have a home without shelter. My home is wherever my family is. My home is my dog, my sister, and my parents. Once upon a time in my home I got my dog and called him Obi. Obi is now my friend, my dog and my companion. A home is love and it’s being loved. I’m lucky to have both a house and a home. Some people don't have a home and that's what made me write this poem to help people in need. Habitat for humanity is helping build homes to make a difference in our community. Thanks to the effort of Habitat for Humanity and the young people submitting all of these poems more people have a place to stay.
